Anitha Rao-Robinson: Canadian author of the month

Music of the Bells.
A beautiful picture book celebrating the power of dance and storytelling.

When Neela lived in India, she performed Kathak, a classical dance that tells stories through movement. After moving to a new country, she begins studying ballet like the other kids at school.

Though she enjoys ballet and her new friends, Neela misses the strength, storytelling, and the jingling bells of Kathak. Encouraged by her mother, she bravely decides to perform a Kathak routine at the school showcase and learns the importance of staying true to herself.
