Savings on the slopes
Canadian ski resorts are making their own New Year’s resolutions by lowering prices to encourage people to improve their health by participating in skiing and snowboarding. Ski areas are resolving to help more people achieve their 2008 fitness goals by making it affordable and easy to get on the slopes and off the couch. January 12-20 is National “Learn to Ski and Ride Week” and ski areas across Canada will be offering discount packages designed with beginners in mind. Participating areas will offer 50 per cent price reductions and ‘‘2 for 1’’ discounts on packages that include a beginner lift ticket, equipment rental and a beginner lesson, everything you need to get started. Find more information on learning how to ski and ride, including beginner tips, what to wear, and what to bring with you to the slopes, by visiting www.skicanada.org.
