LOL Book Club

Books can make us laugh out loud and that’s what children will be doing this summer if they sign up for the free TD Summer Reading Club. Humour is the theme this year and LOL: Laughing Out Loud is the hook for young readers who are plugged into the Internet.This is the 14th season for the club designed to keep kids reading during the summer months. Geared to ages 4 to 12, more than 2,000 libraries will be handing out reading kits containing a colour poster, sticker sheet and log book to keep track of progress. Many libraries will also be offering reading games, challenges and discussions, as well as book-related crafts, author visits and storytelling sessions. Club members read an average of eight books.
