Sillylicious family musical

Cinderella, the Sillylicious Family Musical (Ross Petty Productions/Elgin Theatre) — Ross Petty takes no prisoners: at least when it comes to taking the fairytale classics, tossing in a little drama and drag, music and audience participation. This year — he’s done Aladdin, Snow White and Peter Pan in the past — he turns his silly ways to that little orphan Cinderella. The drag quotient is particularly high this time, with Petty ruling  the roost as the evil stepmother. Joining him/her will be Adam Brazier of We Will Rock You and Dan Chameroy, who recently played Lancelot at Stratford, as the stepsisters. (Their evil names will come courtesy of kids like yours, as Petty ran a contest this fall. In 2003, the stepmother was Prunella Depraved and the daughters Shania and Celine. Let’s hope this year’s are as clever.) Big Degrassi names play the romantic leads: Paula Brancati is Cinderella (who is apparently going to be obsessed with pumpkins) and Jake Epstein is the prince. This annual romp begins November 28 and runs to January 4 at the Elgin Theatre, 189 Yonge Street. Tickets are $49 for children and $57 to $77 for adults and $196 for a family four-pack. 416-872-555, www.rosspetty.com.
